Great to have Polly Billington, MP for East Thanet, joining our by-election candidate Valerie Kenny in Whitstable today as we reminded residents in Gorrell with a postal ballot to send in their vote ahead of polling day on March 6th.
Our canvassers in Canterbury were also out in force supporting Beth Forrester, our candidate in St Stephen’s. ❤️ ... See MoreSee Less

Postal votes will soon be landing for the upcoming council by-elections in St Stephen’s ward, Canterbury and Gorrell ward, Whitstable. If you have a postal vote, we hope that you’ll choose our candidates Beth Forrester and Valerie Kenny!
We are really proud of Beth and Valerie, and know that they will be great councillors for these two wards if elected. Beth and Valerie care so much about their local communities and want to do what they can to help residents, and to improve their local areas ❤ ... See MoreSee Less

Maybe help all the pensioners who had their Winter Fuel Allowance taken from them by the Labour Party?
Our local Labour members are getting ready for the two council by-elections on March 6th.
We've got two amazing candidates, Valerie Kenny in Whitstable's Gorrell ward, and Beth Forrester in Canterbury's St Stephen's ward, who will be out and about hoping to talk to as many people as possible about their plans to improve our local communities. ... See MoreSee Less

Both Beth and Valerie Kenny will be great local Councillors for their wards.
Beth and Valerie will be such great champions for their local communities if they are elected- each one is local to their area and know what is great and needs cherishing as well as where changes and improvements are needed. They are listening every day to what their neighbours are concerned about- and being part of the Labour led administration will help make things happen
Oh you’re all so bonny! Amazing candidates and an amazing team 🌹

Agree! She’s local so she , her family and friends know what’s good about the area that needs protection as well as what needs improvement. And she’s been out loads asking people what matters most to them so that she can really push for their priorities- Good Luck to her!
Come rain or shine, Beth Forrester and friends have been out canvassing around St Stephen’s ward, Canterbury, where Beth is our candidate for the Council by-election there on March 6th.
Beth is really enjoying meeting and talking to people in St Stephen’s and hearing local concerns. She looks forward to helping to deliver improved council services and making the area safer, cleaner and greener if elected on March 6th! ... See MoreSee Less

I imagine while you're canvassing, many pensioners won't answer their doors as they won't want to get any colder, thanks to Freebies Starmer and the Labour Party taking their WFA...

I wish there was a Labour MP for Canterbury.
We as a party have a massive and it is this. Labour have been in power 6 months. The media perception is awful, they batter us at every opportunity. How do overcome the deliberately negative narrative that the media has against us as a party.
We can, if we get rid of Starmer as leader.
We are delighted to announce Beth Forrester as our candidate for the St Stephen’s ward, Canterbury, by-election on 6th March.
Beth, a public sector lawyer, lives with her partner and two children in the middle of St Stephen’s ward. After nearly 15 years here, and as governor of a local secondary school, Beth knows what issues matter to local families. She is committed to being a strong, local voice for our neighbourhood and community.
Beth loves Canterbury and St Stephen’s, but knows that together we can make it even better, delivering improved council services and making our area safer, cleaner and greener.
Action on potholes
• After 14 years of Tory neglect, local roads are in a terrible state. Beth will change that. Labour is investing £1.6 billion in our roads in 2025 and fixing 7 million extra potholes a year. Beth will fight to make sure St Stephen’s gets its fair share of this new cash
St Stephen’s at heart
• There’s so much going on in St Stephen’s and it is a strong and vibrant community. Beth will work with neighbours, residents and community groups to make it even stronger, and ensure everyone is included and feels welcome
Safe, clean and green
• Canterbury has some great playgrounds and open spaces. Beth will stand up for St Stephen’s and work to improve Long Meadow Park. Beth wants our local green spaces to be biodiverse and to be cleaner, safer and more accessible for local people and families ... See MoreSee Less

She'll stand under a labour ticket, use them to get elected, then turn around and throw everyone under the bus. Not falling for it again.
Roads fall under KCC not CCC though. How will Beth fight for the cash for potholes in this case?
I imagine many pensioners will be too cold, thanks to the Labour Party taking their WFA.
We have been out canvassing in the Gorrell area of Whitstable this weekend with our wonderful candidate Valerie Kenny, talking to local people ahead of the Gorrell ward by-election on March 6th.
Lots of friendly faces and useful conversations with residents whose concerns include roadworks and parking in central Whitstable, anti-social behaviour, and the ongoing problem of sea sewage. As someone very involved in the local community, Valerie is really keen to address and follow up on these matters. ... See MoreSee Less

Well done! Unfortunately, l have not attended any meetings due to back and leg injuries. But I will be supporting you as a Labour Member went the weather improves and my health best wishes to you all Jennifer Jennifer Glynis Cardy.
Hopefully you'll see some pensioners who may have been lucky enough not to have frozen to death without the WFA that Labour removed.
This analysis of government data estimates that people in the United States owe at least $220 billion in medical debt. Approximately 14 million people (6% of adults) in the U.S. owe over $1,000 in medical debt and about 3 million people (1% of adults) owe medical debt of more than $10,000. ... See MoreSee Less
